五度奥利弗奖得主艾美达·斯丹顿（Imelda Staunton）携手贝茜·卡特（Bessie Carter），母女首度同台，共同演绎著名剧作家萧伯纳的经典之作《华伦夫人的职业》！

两人在剧中仍然饰演一对母女——女儿薇薇毕业于剑桥大学，立志投身法律事业，追求独立生活。但她随后却发现，自己舒适优渥的求学生涯皆源于母亲在欧洲各地经营声色场所的所得供养，而华伦夫人对女儿的生活方式和婚姻选择亦欲横加干涉，矛盾在两人见面后爆发。萧伯纳借母女关系纷争引出的尖锐的道德冲突和辛辣的社会讽刺，直指阶层与性别的双重压迫，至今依旧振聋发聩。

该版《华伦夫人的职业》由奥利弗奖得主多米尼克·库克（Dominic Cooke，英国国家剧院版《富丽秀》、大卫·田纳特主演版《好人赫德》）执导，这也是艾美达·斯丹顿继《富丽秀》和《你好，多莉》（Hello, Dolly!）后与多米尼克·库克再度携手。库克巧妙地对文本进行了精简改编，直指女性困境核心。艾美达·斯丹顿与贝茜·卡特母女默契搭配，以微妙的情感流动深切撕扯着观众的灵魂。
